Home energy.
Without the guesswork.
From the first conversation to the finished installation, we’ll help you understand what’s possible, what makes sense for your home and what happens next.

You don’t need to have it figured out.
You might know exactly what you want.
You might simply want lower bills, better control over your energy, a warmer home or somewhere to charge your car.
Either is fine.
We’ll start with what you’re trying to achieve and work backwards from there.
Your job is to tell us about your home. Our job is to help make sense of the options.
Talk. Survey. Design. Decide. Install. Handover. Support.
Seven stages, from the first conversation to long after the installation. Choose any stage to see what actually happens.
01 — TALK
A 15-minute discovery call.
We’ll ask a few questions about your home, your energy use and what you’re hoping to achieve.
If we don’t think we can help, we’ll tell you. If it sounds worth exploring, we’ll arrange the next step.
02 — SURVEY
We come and look properly.
The survey lets us understand the property rather than designing from assumptions.
Depending on the project, we may look at things such as:
The survey is free.
Roof and shading
Electrical supply
Energy use
Heating system
Available space
Cable and pipe routes
Equipment locations
Future plans
03 — DESIGN
This is where we do the thinking.
We take what we’ve learned and design a solution around the home.
That might mean one technology. It might mean several. And sometimes it might mean recommending less than you initially expected.
04 — DECIDE
We show you the options. You choose.
You’ll receive a clear recommendation explaining:
Then you can decide whether it makes sense for you.
What we propose
Why
What it should do
What it costs
Relevant alternatives
Expected performance
Financial projections where appropriate
05 — INSTALL
Our team brings the design to life.
We’ll organise the project, keep you informed about what happens when, and install the agreed system.
We aim to make the work as tidy, predictable and low-disruption as possible.
06 — HANDOVER
You should understand what we’ve installed.
Once everything is commissioned, we’ll show you how the system works and provide the relevant handover documentation.
You shouldn’t be left staring at an app or control panel wondering what to do next.
07 — SUPPORT
We don’t disappear after installation.
If you have questions or need help with the system afterwards, Optic remains your point of contact.
THE DISCOVERY CALL
15
MINUTES
Not a technical consultation. Not a sales presentation.
Just a conversation.
The first call isn’t a technical consultation and it isn’t a sales presentation. We simply want to understand:
YOUR HOME
Where you live and the type of property.
YOUR ENERGY
What you currently use and how you heat the home.
YOUR PLANS
Solar, batteries, an EV, a heat pump — or simply an idea you want to explore.
YOUR PRIORITIES
Lower bills, backup power, comfort, sustainability, future-proofing or something else.
Then we’ll tell you whether we think a survey is worthwhile.
We look at the home before we recommend the technology.
The survey gives us the information we can’t get from an online calculator. What we inspect depends on what you’re considering, but the principle is always the same: understand first, recommend second.

PROPERTY
Roof, space, layout and orientation.
ENERGY
Usage, tariffs and when you use electricity.
ELECTRICAL
Supply, consumer unit and suitable routes.
HEATING
Existing heating, emitters and hot water where relevant.
PRACTICALITIES
Scaffolding, equipment locations, cable routes, access and aesthetics.
FUTURE PLANS
EVs, extensions, heating changes or anything else likely to affect the design.

We show you the thinking, not just the price.
Your proposal should help you understand the system before you decide to buy it. Depending on the project, it can include:
Proposed system
Layout
Equipment
Expected generation or performance
Energy savings
Financial projections
Assumptions
Equipment warranties
Project price
If there are sensible alternatives, we’ll explain those too.
You should understand why we’re recommending something — not just what we’re selling.
The best system isn’t always the one with the shortest payback.
Some customers want to maximise financial return.
Some want to reduce their reliance on the grid.
Some want backup power.
Some are preparing for an EV or heat pump.
Others simply want a more comfortable home.
Those priorities can lead to different designs.
Our job is to understand what matters to you and make the recommendation around that.
There isn’t one perfect system. There is a system that makes sense for your home and your priorities.
Nothing hidden behind the recommendation.
WHAT
What we’re proposing.
The equipment, system layout and work involved.
WHY
Why we think it makes sense.
The reasoning behind the design and any alternatives worth considering.
HOW MUCH
What it costs.
A clear quotation for the agreed scope.
If something changes, we’ll explain the change before we proceed.
You’ll know what’s happening next.
Once you’re ready to go ahead, we’ll move the project into delivery and confirm the key stages.
Depending on the installation, that might include:
We’ll keep you updated as the project moves forward.
Final design
Permissions and applications
Equipment ordering
Scaffolding
Installation dates
Commissioning
Certification
Handover
Good work should feel well organised.
Our team will arrive knowing what has been designed and what needs to happen. We’ll treat the property with care, communicate with you throughout the work and leave the installation neat and properly commissioned.
Where a project takes several stages, we’ll explain those beforehand.

The relationship shouldn’t end when the van leaves.
Energy systems last for years. So whether you need help understanding an app, servicing equipment, adding another product later or simply have a question, we want Optic to remain the company you call.
We’re still here
after installation.
Your installation, documents, support and servicing — all in one place.
10 years of servicing
We include 10 years of servicing as standard, so your system keeps performing at its best.
Ongoing support
Real people, just a call or message away. We’re here whenever you need us.
The Optic app
Everything about your system in one place. Track performance, access documents and book servicing.

How the decision actually developed.
Placeholder — nothing here is populated yet. This module tells the story of a decision rather than showing off a system, and is ready for a genuine project.
